Skin Rejuvenation

Development of these skin issues may occur over time due to sun exposure, medications (such as estrogen and other hormones), and a genetic predisposition. Generally, a brown spot is a focal area of either a higher number of pigment cells (called “melanocytes”) or an increased number of pigment molecules (called “melanin”) located with the melanocyte. Excessive melanin resides in the epidermis as well as the dermis. Thus, brown spots, red patches and discoloration are really a diverse group of skin issues: different types of increased pigmentation require different lightening treatments.
The Enlighten™ laser features extremely short and high-power picosecond laser pulses which efficiently and quickly break down pigmented lesions and treat multiply skin conditions occurring in larger areas. Different wavelengths of light are delivered to different layers (and depths) of the skin. The Enlighten™ laser allows our team to select the best setting and wavelength for targeting your specific skin conditions. The wand is moved over the entire treatment site, and thus lightens the skin damage across the whole area, not just targeting focal sunspots. In this manner, laser treatments can effectively decrease and diffuse brown pigmentation and blotchy redness on the face, neck, chest, arms, hands and legs.
